Jade's Jazz Festival 2010
With Special Guests:

Nina

Nina

A powerhouse vocalist, Nina Wachter breathes life into every song she sings, be it jazz, rock, timeless standards, pop, country, easy listening, opera, or even Hawaiian. She was formally trained on voice, piano, and cello since age 10. With a vocal range that spans from tenor to soprano, she recently was the featured soprano *and* tenor soloist for Dubois work of The Seven Last Words of Christ in the Baton Rouge area.

Also a lover of jazz music, Nina has had the opportunity to perform live in La Pine, Oregon as a headliner at the first Jade's Jazz Festival in July of 2009. She was humbled to sit in on a song with the phenomenal Jazz quartet, Detour:Jazz. A violin, cello and voice teacher by trade, Nina enjoys collaborating with excellent musicians as much as possible.

A fan of all of the musicians that will be playing at Jade's Jazz Festival, you can count on her being there from start to finish *enjoying*, not merely entertaining.

David Patrone

David Patrone and the Midnight Auer Quartet

David Patrone (aka MidKnight Auer in SL) Nostalgic but offering something new, The MidKnight Auer Quartet (David Patrone & Company) is reminiscent of an era's swanky style that preceded most of our births. MidKnight adds a modern panache to the musical compositions that brought America through the '30s, '40s, '50s and '60s. Patrone croons and delivers jazz standards with the distinctive swagger found in Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Billie Holiday.

Best simultaneous live jazz performance in Second Life (SL); the group streams to SL while playing at Real Life gigs (at the same time), so 2 live audiences at once!!

Detour:Jazz

Detour:Jazz

Detour:Jazz was formed in December of 2006. Originally an off-shoot of a soul band, with added instrumental sets for a dinner set. One of the founding members of Detour:Jazz, Finch has been playing piano for 31+ years, professionally for around 18. Another founding member, Hutchens, a venerable and eclectic guitarist adds his unique touch of blues / contemporary jazz  and rock to Detour:Jazz.  Trumpet player Casey Terada joined D:J in October of 2007.  Percussionist Vinnie O recently joined the group in 2008.     Detour:Jazz morphed and evolved to what it is today.

Jazz Bros!

Jazz Bros!

The Original Power Jazz Concept—This is no “Cool Jazz” quartet from the lounge or dinner theater. This is an exciting concert experience. A dynamic high energy fusion of passion and power. Tight rrangements—precise and articulate. Loose groove merchants. The music speaks for itself. Georges Bouhey--Drums & Keyboards , has performed and/or recorded throughout the United States & Canada with Mason Williams, Sal Marquez (Tonight Show Band), The Fowler Bros. (Frank Zappa), Lawrence Leighton Smith, Keith Sykes & legendary R & B pianist, Floyd Dixon (Hey, Bartender!). Walker B. Turner--Guitars, was born of the blues in the hot Texas sun. Even when he attended the famed New England Conservatory of Music and then studied with the masters at GIT in Hollywood, those blues roots were always close at hand. DC Olson—Bass, Just listen to how DC anchors the music with his smooth, effortlessly executed bass lines. Hear him take the thunderous roll of his early Pacific Northwest rock days— perfected by years in the LA studios—and fuse it with today’s jazz. http://www.bouheytunes.com
